Documentation:Open Badges
This website has been put together to help instructors use Open Badges in the classroom. It was brought to you by a group of librarians, faculty, and learning designers at UBC who came together in 2014 to test the viability of Open Badges in the classroom. Funded by a Teaching and Learning Education Fund, this group worked to implement thirteen Open Badges pilot projects at UBC. In doing so, a body of practical knowledge on Open Badges began to emerge, which included topics such as the automatic issue of badges in various learning platforms, tips for exporting badges to a personal online media page, as well as strategies for thinking through the design of a badged course.
