What is an Open Badge?

An Open Badge is a credential that takes the form of a digital icon. Earned badges can be stored in a Mozilla backpack, displayed on a social media site, or emailed to specific recipients. Clicking the digital icon reveals information relating to the earning of the badge, such as the name of the issuer, the date of issue and qualification criteria.
