To use this guide you will need the following:
- A Mozilla Backpack Account
- A Facebook Account
- A Collection of Open Badges you would like to share publicly
Log in to your Open Badges Backpack and select the badge collection link at the top of the page.
Select the badge collection you want to display. If you have not created a badge collection, review the Creating and Organizing a Mozilla Backpack guide.
Select the “Public” box. This will allow you to share the badges openly. If this box is not selected, your badges are private view only.
Click the share icon in the collection box. This will bring you to the collection page.
Select the “Share this on Twitter, Google+ and Facebook” link at the top left of the collections page. Linked icons of each social network will appear. You can select these links to share your badge collection.
Facebook has similar functionality to Google+, including:
- A badge image
- A comment section where you can share information about your collection
- Access rights that allow you to select what Circles can view your link and comments, and whether they can be shared on other profiles
You will also automatically provide a “thumbs up” to the Mozilla Backpack Facebook page.
