DPL Testing

Dynamic Page List (DPL) is a powerful tool for listing multiple articles on a wiki that fit certain categories and other criteria. It is used widely in course pages.

• Able to list pages in a certain category
• Able to Show all subpages of a particular page
• Able to Show only top level subpages of a particular page (but not subpages of subpages)
• Show all articles in a namespace
• allowcachedresults=false is working.

Spot Checking

• MFD - this page uses DPL extensively so it would be a good page to test out.

WordPress Wiki Embed Plugin

Using a test or sandbox UBC CMS site, use the wiki embed plug-in to embed a wiki page from the UBC Wiki.

• Does it display correctly
• Can you edit the wiki page and then refresh the Wordpress page and have the changes carry through.

Spot checking

• Visit the UBC open case studies site and spot check a couple of individual cases (e.g. https://cases.open.ubc.ca/intensive-silvopastoral-transitions-in-colombias-la-vieja-watershed/). Do they display correctly?

Spot Reviewing Existing Pages

Below are some pages/project spaces that are representative of different of various types of functionality that exist on the wiki. Checking the follow to see if anything is broken will help determine if there are any issues on the wiki.

Complex Projects

• Science:Math Exam Resources - Drill down to quiz level pages, make sure pages display correctly, templates are loading, collapsible tables are working; nothing is broken
• Sandbox:Torts - Drill down to bottom level pages, make sure project structure is intact; nothing is broken
• Esa - Check to make sure map displays correctly
• MFD - Check to make sure project structure is intact, make sure non-English characters are displaying correctly.

Wikimedia Commons Integration

UBC Wiki has integration with Wikiemdia Commons, which allows you to add images from Wikimedia Commons directly.

• The license info of the photo carries over the info from Wikimedia Commons
