The default Wordpress HTML editor does not have buttons to add tables into the pages. To do this, you must enable the TinyMCE Advanced and MCE Table Buttons plugins and configure them.

Configuration

  1. Go to the Dashboard
  2. From the Left Hand Navigation, Select Tools >> Plugins
  3. Next to the plugins MCE Table Buttons and TinyMCE Advanced, select the ‘Activate’ link
  4. From the Left Hand Navigation, Select Settings >> TinyMCE Advanced
  5. Drag the ‘Table’ icons to the toolbar above.
  6. Select ‘Save Changes’
