How are Entries Organised
Entries are organized alphabetically by English in the first section, English–Squamish Dictionary, and alphabetically by Squamish in the second section, Squamish–English Dictionary, according to the alphabet listed on p. 3. In both sections entries include the headword in either English or Squamish and the translation in the opposite language, depending on the directionality of the section. No other information is included in entries. Some entries include where the word may have come from (i.e., borrowings) and related words or antonyms.
There is a brief Guide to Orthography and Pronunciation on p. 3.

Other Notes
The Introduction clarifies why this dictionary is called The Eagle School Student Dictionary and offers some clarity on what is and is not included in the dictionary: "(1) it tends to use the spellings that siy̓ám seḵ'yú [Chief Lawrence Baker] has used during his teaching at Carson Graham, (2) it has omitted certain items not appropriate or necessary for student use, (3) a portion of the typing was done by students, and (4) Carson Graham School received the Squamish name and identity Ta Sp'áḵ' Wus Sḵuul-áw̓txw (the Eagle School) on April 30, 1993" (p. 4).
