Few mods on your MATH103/207 wiki | 1 | 18:25, 31 December 2010 |
Hi,
Thanks for your question; I'm cross posting my response from my user talk page.
We just enabled "collapsible tables", which should give you the functionality that you are seeking. Below is code for a simple table that might work for you. Note the header is always shown but the body is collapsed by default:
{|class="collapsible collapsed wikitable" |- ! Solution to Problem 1 |- | Answer would go here |}
This code generates the following table:
Solution to Problem 1 |
---|
Answer would go here |
Please let me know if this works for you or if I can answer any other questions.
Cheers,
Thanks. That will do wonderfully.
Is there a help page or other that can show me some of the options that this class offers? A quick search on my part did not yield any results.
We just enabled this feature in response to your question today so we haven't had a chance to add any help documentation yet. However, the instructions on this wikipedia help page should be mostly accurate for the UBC Wiki as well. We'll be updating our help pages in the next day or so. Please let me know if there is anything specific I can try to answer.
Best,
No specific questions. This will handle everything i need to do, and more. Thanks for such a quick response!
Hey Cam,
I made a few minor modifications to your wiki pages to keep the standardized format of the UBC wiki. In other words, I just changed all the Math103 into MATH103. I made the appropriate changes in your subpages as well (the main thing was to track down your dpl lists and update their contents).
I was wondering if it would be worth spending a bit of time to create a common course banner (the infobox you have with the clock). I guess you've seen mine on my page. We could try to find a middle point somewhere, at least for size and colours. Other courses don't have such things yet, so we could get them started.
Otherwise kudos for the wiki, it looks very good. I'm looking forward to see what your students will do out of it!
Hey David!
I'm creating the groups page right now. We could talk about a common banner when we meet up. I don't know how feasible it would be to enforce such a style, but if a theme were to be started, now would be the time.
Anyway, lots of work to do to update the marking scheme and get the group projects pieced together for the first class. Watch this space, significant changes to take place over the next couple days
