Hi Angus,
Thanks for contributing to the wiki with your essay. Here's some feedback for you.

• Your essay focuses on stating the Pythagorean theorem, so it gets a little unclear in your last sentences what is the connection to Descartes and why you start mentioning something about the theorem's history. Keep a theme or an idea and stick with it. If you want to address other ideas, give them enough room and write an extra paragraph.

• When using the math mode (using the $x^{2}$ tags) you don't need to make any of your variables in italics, if you look at your text, you'll see some apostrophes in your $x^{2}=a^{2}+b^{2}$.

• When citing your sources, consider using the <ref></ref> tag which produces something like this. If you do so, you then need to add the tag<references/>where you would like to see your references collected. See the code for this page to see how I did this or check the reference.
