This page provides a lot of insight as to how rape culture is defined and the different ways in which women are objectified, however I would like to know how women are affected in these instances? Are these women affected in such a way that they begin to internalize the thoughts and ideas of others as well as the media? Further, it would be interesting to know the psychological and mental issues that come along with women being victims of rape culture. Women are constantly being predisposed to unattainable standards by men, other women as well as the media, does this lead to a distorted image of their own self-worth? Are women starting to view themselves as objects because of this existing rape culture? There are many women suffering from depression, anxiety, eating disorders etc. and I feel as though many of these issues rise from women being objectified. All in all, I believe the inclusion of how women are affected by rape culture is extremely important as well as if all people truly see rape culture as an issue
