Day 2 discussion and/or muddy points

I was looking for some ideas on how to harmonize (or synchronize is perhaps a better word) class-room learning process when students work in groups that use different methods (the "know, do, apply, value…." part)? Should they even be in the same room if they believe inter-group collaboration is not necessary or fruitful.
