Hello! I have a quick question regarding the units. We have been given both the core height and diameter in centimeters and the weight in grams. For the core volume, would the units be in cm^3 or in SI units (aka m^3)? Would density be g/(cm^3) or kg/(m^3)?

In soil science we use both g/cm3 or kg/m3. In the case of bulk density and particle density you can use either e.g. in a mineral soil we can assume a particle density of 2.65 g/cm3 or 2650 kg/m3. In most questions (lab assignment of problem sets) we specify the units we want, so check the specific question.
