Structure & Content Suggestions

What a fascinating topic and so relevant in society today. I enjoyed reading your Wiki page and my only suggestion would be to break up the wording slightly for easier reading. You could do this by including different sections and adding new headings. I also thought it could work well to include a bit more detail on the treatment that is available today. Overall great job and a very interesting topic!

The medicalization of mental illness is definitely a topic that is becoming increasingly prevalent in mainstream culture. You make many good points in your paragraphs, but I have a few suggestions that may help improve your page. First of all, I think it may make your page easier to read if you include a few more subheadings to split up the long paragraphs. Also, you may want to specify the marginalized groups that you mention so that you're able to give clear statistics and examples without homogenizing the experiences of all marginalized groups. Lastly, it might be interesting to add some discussion on the sociopolitical role that physicians and pharmaceutical companies play in the medicalization of mental illnesses.

Hello! I think it would be a great addition to provide a definition of medicalization. Even if you do not want to include the definition itself, you can add a hyperlink to the word in your introductory paragraph. It would also be a good addition to provide statistics! Overall, good information.
