Hi, This is a good start and I enjoyed reading your post. I suggest providing more headings and talking about the experiences faced by individuals as this brings up a more intersectional conversation that can connect well with the course content. Perhaps you could also discuss the issue not just in Pakistan but compare it to what is also going around in different parts of the world to understand the topic better as a whole. I am looking forward to reading your final wiki post. thanks!

Hi,

I know you mentioned this is a rough draft but I think you're off to a good start! First formatting-wise I wanted to suggest you link all your sources through the wiki function so they all appear at the bottom of your article. I don't think you need separate headings for background and history as I feel they'd be slightly redundant, but I would also include subheadings for the sources of the discrimination (i.e. religion, government, media, class) and this would allow you to assess these factors from an intersectional lens.

I would also avoid using generic quotes, for example "In the words of one person" or "In the words of a legal scholar" - I think you could paraphrase these in your article to use as examples but not in the descriptive wiki text itself unless its quoted from a very influential/well-known person or politician involved in the movement.

Hope this helps!

Discrimination against Transgender and Nonbinary Peoples in Pakistan

Hi there,

Your topic of choice is very interesting, and one that I've never really pondered on my own. While we are progressing in the acceptance of transgender and nonbinary people in North America, it is always important to keep in mind what is going on across the world. In regards to your layout as you've expressed that you may need some input, I think it could be good to separate background and history. In background, you could discuss the general definitions of transgender and nonbinary and briefly discuss the common experiences faced by these individuals. Then, under history, you can go more in-depth with the history of those individuals in Pakistan who face discrimination. Your other subheadings are super interesting. I think that with more information they will be very effective in conveying the intersectional experience of individuals in Pakistan. Perhaps, it could be better to put "Recent Legal Recognition" last to end on a more positive note rather than going back to a negative place of intersectional discrimination. Just a thought! I hope this is helpful to you!

You're off to a great start. I'm sure that your final draft will be great and I'm looking forward to reading it.
