Let
 $\displaystyle f(x,y)=8x^{1/5}y^{4/5}.$
Find
 $\displaystyle f(2x,2y)2f(x,y).$

Given the function
 $\displaystyle f(x,y)=8x^{1/5}y^{4/5}$
We can compute each of $f(2x,2y)$ and $2f(x,y)$.
 $\displaystyle {\begin{aligned}f(2x,2y)&=8(2x)^{1/5}(2y)^{4/5}\\&=8(2)^{1/5+4/5}x^{1/5}y^{4/5}\\&=16x^{1/5}y^{4/5}\end{aligned}}$
and
 $\displaystyle {\begin{aligned}2f(x,y)&=2(8x^{1/5}y^{4/5})\\&=16x^{1/5}y^{4/5}\end{aligned}}$
And so we obtain that
 $\displaystyle f(2x,2y)2f(x,y)=0$
