The Norm Theatre is a movie theatre located in the Student Union Building. It is run by the UBC Film Society (FilmSoc).
The Norm Theatre's official name is the Normand Bouchard Memorial Theatre. It was given this name in November 1995 in honor of Normand Bouchard, a long-time FilmSoc executive who had died earlier that year. Before the renaming, the theatre was referred to as the SUB Auditorium.
In addition to movies, the Norm also hosts speaking engagements and other events.
The schedule of upcoming movies as well as other news can be found on the FilmSoc website at http://ubcfilmsociety.com/. Most movies are around 7:00pm and 9:00pm Wednesday through Sunday.
Movie Prices
All film screenings for a year are free with the purchase of a $5 Film Society membership.
