Main Page/LIBR535

From UBC Wiki

Welcome to the Course Wiki for LIBR 535!

We will use this wiki for signing up for various activities throughout the semester, and possibly some other things too.

I encourage you to let your creativity flow and think about how this type of technology could be used as a teaching tool. In the meantime, know that this is the main jumping off page for the various wikis we will be using and you can always get here from the Course Home Page in Canvas. I will add links to the wikis I create for the class here (see below), and you are welcome to add yours too, if you want the class to see your pages.

Basics:

To edit an existing page on the UBC wiki, you must go to the page and then log in by clicking on the blue "CWL Login" button at the top right of the screen. Once you've done that, your name will show and you should have the option to Edit in the tabs at the top of the page.

To create a page, you simply add /yourpagenameextension to the end of the link for our course in the URL field at the top of your browser (eg. http://wiki.ubc.ca/LIBR535/group1_A4) and it will ask you if you want to create this page. And away you go.

Have fun!

Feel free to create your own pages here, if you wish. You might have an idea for a teaching resource using the wiki - go ahead and play with it. Similarly, if you need it for your mini lesson in Weeks 9/10, you are welcome to use the wiki for that.
