  1. Click on ‘Menus’ under Appearance tab in the Dashboard
  2. On the top right corner of the page click on ‘Screen Options’
  3. Check the box called ‘Link Target’ under “Show advanced menu properties”
  4. Then click on any tab/heading in your menu and in Link Target box, change selection to “New window or tab”
  5. You now have the option for links to open in new tab/window.
