The Hennings Building, or Hennings, is a 4-floored building at the University of British Columbia's Point-Grey campus. It is home to the UBC Department of Physics & Astronomy. The Hennings Building is connected to the Hebb Building by a skywalk between the third floors of both buildings.

History

There was a building on the modern Hennings Building site since 1925[3]. The current building was constructed between 1946 to 1947, and was known as the Physics Building[1]. The current name was adopted in 1963 to honour A.E. Hennings, a long-time professor of physics at UBC[1]. The Hennings Building reached its current form after undergoing renovations from 1966 to 1976[3].
