Students' Perspective Feedback

  • Good, helpful learning objectives
  • More examples, or one overarching case, would be helpful for understanding all the concepts and definitions (e.g. a UBC-specific example)
  • Include activities that encourage students to find examples from the UBC context that demonstrate concepts and tensions explained in the case study
  • One idea for an activity or something to encourage students to do: encourage students to think about how they would develop a sustainable business model (similar to the company where most of the references come from)

Day 1 Feedback

  • Use an example to draw students into the issue
  • Develop a hook
  • Maybe use a problem-based approach

Adding onto the first point a bit: is there a specific building or other project on the UBC campus that could illustrate some of the principles you're talking about re: sustainable urban development (whether fulfilling them or not fulfilling them)?
