How to Implement Games?

At the end of a unit or before a major exam, create game such as Jeopardy, Who Wants to be a Millionaire, and Wheel of Fortune to summarize key points, review questions, and prepare students to an upcoming examination.

Why Use Games?

  1. Games are fun and motivating and create a cognitive engagement between the learner and the topic.
  2. Games provide immediate feedback to both the learner and the instructor.
  3. Games have real-world relevance and are experiential.
  4. Games provide a less threatening environment.
  5. Games improve teamwork and student-student interaction.
