How are Entries Organised

Verb entries include the English headword, the closest Salish translation (usually a root), a conjugated list in Salish in third person and three tenses (i.e., past, present and future), the English translation of the conjugations, the first and second person conjugations in Salish, different verb forms (i.e., transitive and intransitive), plural and reduplication forms, derivations, affixal information, and marked commands/imperatives.

Prior to the dictionary, there is a detailed description of the sound system and the history of developing a Salish orthography.

The grammar that follows the dictionary includes information about sentence structure, particles, nominals, ownership and possession, and reduplication. There are lists of root words and affixes after the grammar.
