This is a bilingual, mono-directional dictionary, followed by an appendix with topical word lists.
How are Entries Organised
Entries are organized alphabetically by English. Entries include the English headword, an example sentence in English, the Navajo headword, the literal English translation, and the example sentence in Navajo. Every second page contains a full-page illustration of one of the example sentences from the entries on the page prior.
There is a brief introduction to the Navajo sound system prior to the dictionary.
After the dictionary, there is an Appendix with topical word lists. Topics include numbers, months, days of the week, colours, and adverbs and postpositions. Entries contain the English headword and the Navajo translation. The Adverbs and Postpositions list contain example sentences in Navajo and English. There is no other information included in entries from the other lists.
