Where is Information Coming from
Information in this dictionary comes from Elders and previously published works, including: the 2001 Language Vocabulary: Word-Guide Book 1 and the 1998 Common Names of the Flathead Language by the Salish-Pend d’Oreille Culture Committee, the 2011-2016 A Beginning Course in Salish & Pend d’Oreille Dialect: Salish Language Curriculum by Salish-Pend d’Oreille People, and the 2010 Seliš nyoʔnuntn: Medicine for the Salish Language. Salish to English. The search function works in both directions online, but only English to Salish on the mobile app.
Dialects Included
The website states: "We hope to include the language dialects of the Bitterroot Salish, Upper Kalispel, Lower Kalispel and Spokane tribes. We want this to be an inclusive language tool for all to use and share".
However, dialects are not identified.

The online resource is a bilingual, multimedia verb dictionary. Other parts of speech are stored in the Media Files.

How are Entries Organised
Entries on the online dictionary are organized alphabetically by Salish or English, depending on which language is selected while in the browse function. Entries in the Media Library do not appear to have a specific organisation.
Entries on the mobile app are organized alphabetically by English by category (e.g. Action, Age, Animals, Audio and Video, Baby, Bathroom, etc.) and within the category.

Other Notes
The online dictionary seems to only contain verb entries. Any other parts of speech are housed in the Media Library, which is not organized beyond language and form of item (i.e. images and audio). The multimedia entries are separated based on the form of item.
The app is more clearly organized, housing all parts of speech together, sorted topically, containing both image and audio within the same file. The app also contains stories and directs users to helpful information regarding physical games made available by the developer.
