The dictionary is organized alphabetically by English. Each entry includes the Seneca translation in bold and the pronunciation between parentheses. At the bottom of every page with entries is a key that explains how letters should be pronounced. Before the entries begin, there is a section with Explanatory Notes that explain how the dictionary works, the orthographical rules, and the abbreviations. Before the Explanatory Notes, there is an Explanatory Chart (after the Resources) which breaks down words and abbreviations.
