Where is Information Coming from
This dictionary started as an Alutiiq stem list from Jeff Leer in 1971 which consisted of stems used in the first Alutiiq publication by the Alaska Native Langauge Centre (Unigkua'it Paluwigmiut Nanwalegmiui-hlu/ Sugcestun Unigkuat). This stem list was added to by Jeff Leer and the Alaska Native Language Center with information from speakers.

Dialects Included
This dictionary is specifically of the Kenai Peninsula dialect (spoken in Port Graham, English Bay, and Seldovia on the Kenai Peninsula), but much of the vocabulary is used in the Prince William Sound dialect as well (spoken in Chenega, Tatitlek, and Cordova in Prince William Sound). Together the Kenai Peninsula dialect and the Prince William Sound dialect form Chugach Alutiiq dialect.
