Entries are organized alphabetically in their respective sections. The dictionary is split into two main sections: Māhele 'Olelo Hawai'i Hawaiian-English and Māhele 'Olelo Pelekānia English-Hawaiian. Each entry contains the corresponding translation (either in English or Hawaiian, depending on the section), and includes the part of speech (e.g. noun or verb) written in an abbreviation (e.g. kik = kikino (common noun)).
