Dialects Included

In general, dialects are not specified in this dictionary. There is a small Coahuilteco section of words spoken near the Mission of San Francisco Solano, below Eagle Pass on the Rio Grande. The introductory The Materials section describes in some detail the general area in which some speakers were met.

Type of Dictionary

This is a multilingual collection of bilingual, bidirectional word lists. A short comparative dictionary section is included on pg. 138.

How are Entries Organised

This dictionary includes separate sections with the word list for each included language. Entries are organized alphabetically by English. The first half of each section includes a Coahuilteco, Comecrudo, Cotoname, Maratino, Aranama, or Karankawa to English word list, followed by an English to Coahuilteco, Comecrudo, Cotoname, Maratino, or Karankawa word list (there is no English to Aranama section).
