How are Entries Organised
Entries in this dictionary can be searched by either English or Unami headword. A single search pulls up a Results page that lists all relevant Unami word entries, sentence entries, and story entries. All results are listed first by English translation, then by the Unami word or phrase. Clicking on the Unami word or phrase in the Results list opens that entry as a sub-page. Each entry contains the English gloss and the Unami word with a button to play the audio, sentence examples with audio files, comments or notes for learners, and a breakdown of the morphemes. Some entries, in particular words that name a species of animal or plant, also contain images.
