This dictionary was originally published in 1979 by the University of New Brunswick for the Wabnaki Bilingual Education Program at Indian Township, Maine. It was republished with additional entries in 1986 by the University of New Brunswick.

An Introduction is given before the two sections of entries. The Introduction contains grammatical information, pronunciation guides, and a description of how the dictionary is to be used. The Peskotomuhkati - Wolasetoqewi Kolusuwakonol section is organised alphabetically by Maliseet-Passamaquoddy headword. Each entry includes the headword and its gloss, the part of speech, and different inflected forms (eg: plural, possessive, diminutive). Many entries also include example sentences, listed as sub entries, given first in Maliseet-Passamaquoddy and then in English. The English And Passamaquoddy-Maliseet section is organised alphabetically by English headword. Each entry lists the Maliseet-Passamaquoddy word or words that are related to the English headword, their gloss, and part of speech. No other information is included in these entries.
