Entries in this dictionary come from unnamed speakers and language consultants who worked with Voorhis from 1964 to 1970, some of whom are listed in Voorhis' earlier publication, Introduction to the Kickapoo Language (1974). Some additional entries come from an earlier compilation of stories, Kickapoo Tales by William Jones, 1915.
