In 2012 the Kitikmeot Heritage Society published this dictionary on behalf of Nunavut Arctic College, with funding from the Department of Culture, Languages, Elders & Youth, Government of Nunavut. Originally published in 1996 and has been revised and updated by the original editor.

Where is Information Coming from

Gwen (Angulalik) Ohokak, Margo Kadlun and Betty Harnum revised the dictionary with the help of Elders Mabel Ekvana Angulalik and Frank Analok.

A previous version of this dictionary was originally published in 1996, that original dictionary was adapted from Kangiryuarmiut Uqauhingita Numiktittitdjutingit, a dictionary produced for a similar dialect by Ronald Lowe in 1983.
