Where is Information Coming from
The information in this dictionary comes from Edward Sapir's field notes collected in 1923 from the speaker John Fredson at Ft. Yukon.
Entries in this dictionary likely come from Sapir's pre-1925 noun and verb file cards, which were edited and annotated by Victor K. Golla and Mary Haas, and are available scanned on the Alaska Native Language Archive.

Dialects Included
Most of the entries in the dictionary come from a speaker from Ft. Yukon, except for The Lord's Prayer which is in Peel River dialect.
Following the section with The Lord's Prayer in the Peel River dialect, Golla included a list of words in the prayer with dialect differences in the Ft. Yukon dialect. This list was originally elicited by Sapir from John Fredson (of Ft. Yukon).

How are Entries Organised
The entries in this dictionary are organised in the same manner as Sapir's original notebooks, alphabetically by Gwich'in. The dictionary also includes a second and third text titled The Lord's Prayer and The Making of the World which are not part of the main entries.
The entries also seemed to be numbered on the left margin although it is not very visible as they are handwritten.
