Publishing Information
This dictionary began in 1968 as a rough draft, with a preliminary edition published in 1970 by the University of Alaska and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In 2011 (with updates in 2012) a revised edition with updated orthography was added to the Alaska Native Language Archive. The newest edition–published by the University of Alaska–is still in progress, and is intended to include all of the same information as the 1970 edition.
Along with the 1970 dictionary and the 2011/12 revised edition, there is a rough draft of the dictionary–dated 1968, the file slip indices–dated 1970, and revisions–dated 1980–available on Alaska Native Language Archive.

The different stages of this dictionary have been provided by the Alaska Native Language Archive as five different "resources" labelled as the following: Rough Draft of Eyak Dictionary, File Slip Indices to Eyal Dictionary, Eyak dictionary, Eyak Dictionary Revisions and Drafts, and Eyak Dictionary (revised).
The Alaska Native Language Archive provides copies of all the stages of the dictionary except for Rough Draft of Eyak Dictionary, as any copy that existed was discarded by Michael E. Krauss; and File Slip Indices to Eyak Dictionary has no copies available either because they have not been scanned. The same resource states that there are both German and Russian glosses however, on the most recent edition of the dictionary, there are only Russian translations for the terms provided.
