How are Entries Organised
Entries in the Miwok-English section are organised alphabetically by Miwok. Following the Miwok headword is the part of speech, the source of the entry, the English gloss, and the dialect. Entries in the English-Miwok section are organised alphabetically by English headword, followed by the Miwok dialect, its page in the previous section, the Miwok word, and the part of speech.
A section for numerals follows the dictionary entries, and is organised numerically by English numeral, followed by its source and the Miwok numeral.
The Texts are grouped into four categories: stories, shamanistic experiences, dances, and songs. Each story is formatted with the Miwok proceeding sentence by sentence, with the English glosses below each word. Shamantistic experiences and dances are formatted in two columns, paragraph by paragraph, with Miwok on the left and English on the right. Songs are formatted in two columns, with a line-by line translation from Miwok (left) to English (right).
