Where is Information Coming from

Information in this vocabulary comes from historical Apalachee materials, including the only known historical document written in Apalachee, a letter to the Spanish king. Information on related languages which were referenced in the compilation of this vocabulary come from previously published resources, as well as the authors own fieldwork with speakers of Koasati.

The original spelling of the Apalachee entry in the source materials is included at the end of the entry in parentheses.
