How are Entries Organised
This resource, made up of multiple bilingual wordlists of Miwok languages, includes the many Miwok-English wordlists in one section, followed by all English-Miwok sections in the next section. Each entry includes the headword, translation in either English or the Miwok language, and source information. Entries in the Miwok-English dictionaries are organized alphabetically by the Miwok languages, while entries in the English-Miwok dictionaries are organized alphabetically by English (except for flora and fauna entries in the English-Miwok dictionaries, which are organized alphabetically by their binomial names). Entries consist of the headword, a translation in either English or Miwok, and a description of flora and fauna in relevant entries for some languages.
The Northern Sierra Miwok and Central Sierra Miwok dictionary sections are also followed by Texts sections, which included a segmented narrative with English translations.
