Week 6 Progress Review

After we presented our proposal and submitted our charter via wiki page, we sent our exact replica of the proposal to our community partner contact person and the project supervisors. Due to our limited time with LFS 350, we proposed to Frog Hollow Neighbourhood House community to held workshop about building an herb garden and types of herbs and its health benefit. So far through the week, our community partner has not responded to any of our emails regarding their opinion or approval to our proposed idea. Without their approval, we could not do any further research or design our workshop, because ultimately the community partner decides what to do. We talked to our TA in regard of this issue, he told us to wait for replies and send him a paragraph in email so he could discuss it further with our instructors. After discussion in tutorial, our TA sent us an email mentioned that he bump to our contact person in LFS Food Fest (unfortunately none of us could go). He told one of our group members, that she discussed the issue and our contact person will be in touch with us after she read the proposal.’ But prior to the communication issue, Frog Hollow Neighbourhood House has invited us to join one of their events. This takes place on the October 18th, where we can set our pre-questionnaire in regards to herb spiral. We are currently setting up the 10 questions or so questionnaire and divide all the research to our group members, so we can begin the research process and further back up our proposal during our next meeting with the community partner, which might happen next week on Wednesday, October 15th, 2014.
