Our group would like to explore the endangered food Bear Root. It's used in Indigenous cultures as both food and medicine.
Our subtopics of interest are:
- Where bear root is natively found/main supplier
- How its eaten/its taste/recipes it can be used in
- Food vs medicinal uses of bear root - how is it used in the indigenous community?
- Safety: any side effects, potential interactions with medications, mix ups with similar looking root
- What are its potential health benefits
