Homework 6

Hello Christopher,

This is Bella one of the new people to join your group. Can I get you to email me at some point, direct, for homework 6 that is due on Monday. I hope to get as many people's email / as soon as possible, so we can organise something or discuss what we want to do there. The sooner we can get the ball rolling the better.

Thanks heaps :)

Bella (Email me now so you don't forget! toryan@interchange.ubc.ca think "To Ryan" @ interchange da di da to help you remember it)

Remarks on your essay

Hi Christopher,
Thanks for contributing to the wiki with your essay. Here's some feedback for you.

  • Consider using the <math>formulae here</math> formatting to display your math formulas. For example, typing <math>a^2</math> gives you .
  • When you state the theorem in your first paragraph, is it clear what , and stand for? If you are going to explain it later (as you did), you might want to announce this or simply wait until writing this formula.
  • What makes this theorem so fundamental to you?
  • Your final point about checking that we can use the theorem to check whether a triangle is right or not is a very important fact. I think this one should get more attention.
  • When citing your sources, consider using the <ref></ref> tag which produces something like this[1]. If you do so, you then need to add the tag<references/>where you would like to see your references collected. See the code for this page to see how I did this or check the reference.
