  • The CTLT Educational Developer is responsible for designing, facilitating, and documenting program planning, evaluation and related processes concerning teaching and learning professional development.

Some Typical Duties Include: - Providing consulting services to individuals to do with teaching and learning related professional development - Developing and coordinating the TA Development program -Coordinating and co-facilitating TA Training Community of Practice meetings and foster the growth of this Community by responding to its needs. - Providing mentorship to graduate students within the Teaching and Learning Professional Development Division. -providing facilitation services and recommendations within CTLT, to members of the UBC teaching communities, and to other interested parties. - Developing and coordinating the Formative CTLT Peer Review of Teaching Program. This includes designing and implementing professional development initiatives and building online resources to support members of the campus-wide Formative Peer Review team. - Contributing to Facilitation and Process Design projects and initiatives, and to other initiatives within the Teaching and Learning Professional Development Division and CTLT. - Providing research expertise to Scholarship of Teaching and Learning initiatives associated with CTLT, in particular as it pertains qualitative research design and analysis.

Shaya Started working at CTLT as the Resource Room Coordinator in September 2011.

  • The CTLT Resource Room Coordinator is responsible for the majority of activities relating to the print and selected online resources available through the Resource Room at CTLT. These activities include offering individual support to clients when requested (access request form here)

Some Typical Duties Include: developing topic-specific resources of frequently requested teaching and learning related materials, conducting specialized searches of the Resource Room database and/or UBC and other library databases to meet individual requests for teaching and learning related topics (Teaching and Learning Resources Portal), Coordinating the CTLT's SoTL Journal Club, and maintaining CTLT's social media accounts.
