About me

Hi there! My name is Charlotte Barclay and I am the current Teaching Assistant for EOSC270 this winter Term 2.

I am just starting the second year of my MSc in Bioinformatics where I am using the model organism Mnemiopsis leidyi to study the evolution of multicellularity and how conservation of integral structural regions of the genome is important in cell differentiation. If this seems an unusual fit for a TA in EOSC, my first masters was actually in Marine Biology at the University of Southampton in the UK.

Before UBC I worked at the Natural History Museum, London working on different biodiversity data projects.
