Stewart Brand: Rethinking Green
Stewart Brand spoke at UBC on the topic of sustainability as part of the UBC Reads Sustainability lecture series. In this presentation, he suggests a shift in the environmentalists’ dogmatic approach and describes a process of reasonable debate and experimentation. Brand is founder of the Whole Earth Catalog, the Global Business Network, the Long Now Foundation and the Well. In his newest book, Whole Earth Discipline: An Ecopragmatist Manifesto, he compiles reflections and lessons learned from more than 40 years as an environmentalist.
