Current Landscape

Good job at explaining the history of how this was all born. An interesting aspect that you could explore is the current political landscape in Hong Kong and how this is related to its colonialist ties. Also, as a previous commenter has mentioned -- different generations have different ties to post-colonial identity. Perhaps there are some that are grateful for this period and others who wish this had never been the case. Seeing the myriad of identities and examining if there are any common groups that fall into any category would be interesting to read about.
