Gender Discrimination in Pay Gap in Korea

I believe that this gender discrimination in pay gap exists worldwide, but it is especially more prominent in Korea due to the stereotypes of men and superior than women, and have bigger responsibilities. I personally saw a lot of my friends (as interns and full time workers not getting promoted or getting raise in paycheck because she was female, and a lot of male friends being promoted after couple of months, and raise within 6 months. This problem has been pointed out by a lot of feminists in society, and also was pointed out by the president herself. I believe that the president goes through a very difficult time trying not to be bias, but it cannot be helped but to show through her method of governing.
