Forms of Birth Control not Available in Canada?

This page was fascinating to me! I find it so interesting that so many people are concerned about the side effects of male birth control when women have suffered from (sometimes severe) side affects for almost 50 years. I wonder if you have looked into birth control options not available in Canada. In other countries (England and parts of the US that I know of) the rod is another form of birth control available for women. While I believe that Canada is quite advanced in regards to contraception, its interesting that some technology is not available here.
