Suggestions

Hi, Prithu Banerjee,

It is a very good draft that I learnt lots of new things. Here are my scores, with general and suggestions below that. Scale of 1 to 5, where 1 = strongly disagree and 5 = strongly agree:

  • (5) The topic is relevant for the course.
  • (4) The writing is clear and the English is good.
  • (5) The page is written at an appropriate level for CPSC 522 students (where the students have diverse backgrounds).
  • (3.5) The formalism (definitions, mathematics) was well chosen to make the page easier to understand.
  • (4) The abstract is a concise and clear summary.
  • (3.5) There were appropriate (original) examples that helped make the topic clear.
  • (n) There was appropriate use of (pseudo-) code.
  • (4) It had a good coverage of representations, semantics, inference and learning (as appropriate for the topic).
  • (4.5) It is correct.
  • (4) It was neither too short nor too long for the topic.
  • (4) It was an appropriate unit for a page (it shouldn't be split into different topics or merged with another page).
  • (2) It links to appropriate other pages in the wiki.
  • (3.5) The references and links to external pages are well chosen.
  • (4) I would recommend this page to someone who wanted to find out about the topic.
  • (3.5) This page should be highlighted as an exemplary page for others to emulate.

Suggestions:

  • 1. Add some motivating and explaination examples in paragraphs that have lots of logical contents, some paragraphs are very difficult to understand. For example: the first paragraph under Content, the paragraph under Causal Modeling Basics and so on.
  • 2. It is better to add math tag in variables.
  • 3. Learning Causal Models section should be more detailed.
  • 4. It is better to have more links.

Sincerely,

YuYan

Hi Yu Yan, Thanks for your feedback. I will try best to address your concerns. However one quick rebuttal, I am not sure what these grades stand for. As I must change the according to suggestions I receive and then the final version should be graded. So I am guessing this grading is based only the present version, being subject to be changed later :-).. please let me know in case otherwise .

No, the grade is not for final version. I just want to let you know the things that could be improved according to our final grade standard in my opinion. Let me know if there is any question.

Thanks Yu Yan, I have updated the page based on your feedback. I have added few motivational example in Causal Model Basics section which should help better understanding. Elaborated the learning section as well. I added math tags against all equations for better readability and added links corresponding to broader concepts such as System Model etc, to help interested users. I would request you to update your marks regarding these changes.

Sure. It seems quite good. I will update marks.
