Problem set #2

For question 3c do we first have to find the density of the water before finding the volume of water? And in that case, do we calculate the exact total (wet) density by Mass total/Volumetotal or do we just use 1000kg/m^3 as the density of water? Also what exactly is the difference between the volume of water and the volumetric water content of a soil?

Volume of water is Vw, while volumetric water content (theta) is Vw/Vt

do we calculate the density by total mass/total volume or do we use 1000kg/m^3?

Density of water is 1000 kg/m3. Hence, there is no need to calculate it
