Eddy I believe you are asking what value to use for particle density - if that is the case see class notes from Jan 11 (soil physics 1) and the section on particle density. Given the typical minerals commonly found in soils, we can assume a particle density.

Hi Sandra, the lecture notes gives a range for the typical particle density of mineral soils, how do we know exactly which value to use? Thanks in advance!
