Pore Volume

To calculate percent of pore volume vs solid particles, when you're given particle density and bulk density,would it be correct to divide the bulk density by the particle density to get portion of the soil occupied by solid particles?

Portion of volume occupied by solid particles = bulk density/particle density
Portion of volume occupied by pore space (aka Porosity) = 1 - portion of volume occupied by solid particles = 1 - (bulk density/particle density)
