Interesting Topic!

I do not know much about the topic of chosen families so this was interesting for me to read. However, I wish there was a more expanded history of chosen families. I feel like I know the surface information but it would be awesome for you to expand a dig a little deeper into the topic. Additionally, I think it would be interesting to have a variety of case studies from people of different genders, race and age.

Expand just a little bit more!

Is there any more information on the history and types of different alternative families? I would love to read more on the topic. Do you know anything about the legal aspects of co-parenting and whether or not it fits into alternative families? Expanding a little bit more on these things might be helpful!

some minor suggestions

It might be interesting if you were able to add some more in-depth background history to how chosen families were viewed and the improvements (as well as lack thereof) to this day. It might be difficult to do this but I would also enjoy seeing some political aspects added into your post for the final draft.

Great topic!

I'm so excited for this! I have a number of friends & family in the LGBT community, and I'm constantly reminded that they have a myriad of problems that I can't even begin to understand. I think the concept of a "chosen family" is so important for a few reasons; one) it's important to people in the LGBT community that have been rejected by their families, and it provides them hope for a different family and two) hopefully it inspires people to be a little bit more tolerant knowing they can be easily replaced. I'm excited for the rest of this topic, I think it'll be a great read.
